Athletes and Memory Foam
A Memory Foam Factory Case Study
Our researchers and engineers conducted a scientific experiment with athletes and Memory Foam. Our results show that the Memory Foam Factory's products:
To test the therapeutic characteristics of our memory foam products, we performed an experiment using a test group of twenty-eight collegiate athletes, and a control group of the same size and demographic.
*All participants were given Memory Foam Factory mattress toppers and contour pillows for their participation.
The Experiment
All subjects were told that they had volunteered to test a new electronic device that emitted therapeutic Bio-Waves into their bedroom while they slept. This allowed us to achieve a double blind experiment so we could most effectively test the therapeutic quality of Memory Foam Factory Products. If the athletes knew they were volunteering to study the effects of memory foam, they would have been able to do prior research on the material and the experiment would become invalid.
They were told that putting the Memory Foam Mattress Toppers on their beds were simply methods of directing the therapeutic Bio-Waves towards them while they were sleeping. The therapeutic Bio-Wave Machines were actually non-functioning devices used to make the test authentic.
The Control Group
Members of the control group received:
a Bio-Wave Emitting Sleep Therapy Device, and
a 1/4" thick piece of urethane foam pad
As with the test group, the foam pad was supposed to attract the "Bio-Waves," instead of Memory Foam Factory Products. This foam was selected because it would not change the comfort level of their existing mattresses. Neither the non-functioning device nor the thin layer of urethane foam had any real effect on the control group's sleep. Any effect perceived by the control group individuals would be strictly psychological.
Comments From The Control Group
After two weeks passed, we interviewed the subjects individually, so they wouldn't be influenced by the other participants. Of the twenty-eight athletes involved in the control group, the group given the non-functioning device, without Memory Foam Factory Product, twenty-seven of them said that the device was useless and the experiment was a waste of their time. One said that the "Bio-Wave Device scared her so she had to put it in the basement by the second night." She also said that it caused her dog to have an increased number of accidents in the house.
Amazing and Energizing
The experimental group, the group with Memory Foam Factory Product, had a very different response. Twenty-three of them said that the device significantly decreased the time it took them to fall asleep, and they all said that they woke up with less pain and had more energy during their practice sessions. Five of the athletes suspected that the Bio-Wave Emitting Device was useless and that Memory Foam Factory Topper had created the therapeutic sensation. They, of course, were correct.
